To Winds Return
(One Celtic Mind)

Though we were forced to listen to His word
We only half-believed part-truths what we heard
But with ears re-turned to Nature now we find
We e'er shared within our hearts One Celtic mind
Though once forced to give up unholy habits
We kept half-hidden ancient pagan sabbats
But when old neo-christians bred like rabbits
We also multiplied within our own olde Irish minds
Though forced we were into stone churches
We felt more divine beneath tall pines & birches
Yet we believed God streams in a Love that’s kind
But Her presence defines our Celtic dream-like mind
Though we’ve been lead down below and gallowed
We did not die but lied like brown fields fallowed
Yet we walk today through green woods re-hallowed
Again we dance within our shadowed Irish minds
Though we're long force-fed one brand of knowledge
We clung through time to Life's high thin wall ledge
But like light chaff we're shed from wheat men grind
To winds return our One bright rhyming Celtic mind
