Knowledge Without Wisdom

The children have so much information
At their fingertips on screens high-speed
But where will they now find wisdom
That in these days they’ll truly need
They’re drowning kids with education
Yet they are today not taught how to see
Though each child’s born a natural artist
They get not to learn at just playing how to Be
They’re force-feeding kids junk science
While leaving books arcane on dusty shelves
Sheltering pale children from the very silence
They verily need to learn about themselves!
We’ve been unleashing on this brave new world
A new breed – a young generation hyper-learning
But we’ve not been teaching them to really think
So lost they’ll sink dark deep in earthly yearning
The children now have so much information
At their fingertips on screens high-speed
But how will they find the ancient wisdom
That in these modern times they’ll truly need?
