Writing (Riding) Up Past Bitter Canyon
You've packed your horse and roped him out
Come ride now with Epeona's daughters
Prepare to thirst four dry days without
As we hack past soured desert waters
You've tacked your steed and wrote it out
Come ride out upon Epeona's horses
Prepared to thirst four days hot without
Lacking first past poisoned creek-courses
You've packed your bags and rode him out
'Brought fresh holy water-skins along
Which you'll need to ration without doubt
Through frought barrens baneful to keep strong
I will back you up, just write it out...
High along these bitter springs in saddle
Strength found here is what Life's about
Forging on upstream without a paddle
When you're sacked just ride it finally out
To rest tired horses lakeside by day five
So shacked in cool comfort then divinely shout
From green pastures "We are blessed to be Alive!"
