At times our Sun grows peaceful, quiet
Then sometimes it rains for forty days
‘Long as dawn's light hunts down the night
Strong-willed yet I’ll scribe something to say
In hard times mad throngs grow active
Our Sun flares up when people riot
‘Long as glass shards fall so may crowds live
I’ll still rhyme strong yet sadly write
In times like these ‘seems money talks
And men-in-power just won’t listen…
‘Long as London chimes by Her old clocks
On Thames blackwater still will poets glisten
Stars in dark times sparkle most bright
Only moonless nights show us the milky way
‘Long as She glows again in lunar flight
Down here on Earth I’ve yet some things to say…
Before these night-time floods recede
To here returns, cold, the northern lights
‘Long as summer doth autumn precede
Old, yet strong, we’ll have wrong things to right
