A Laurel Sanguine

Soliloquy to secrecy,
in feral voice beseeches me,
from deep, etheric, potpourri,
a song of what was meant to be.
Now for to reckon deep remorse,
in fertile solitude's recourse,
true whispers on the faded dark,
cry fie to placid peril's lark.
An' in this time of hopeful hue,
a laurel torentious and new,
for beauty's mask, the Faery Queen,
to complement her bold sanguine.
As ivory contrasts the green,
an' purple hues parade the scene,
of bardic Elven in the air,
the rhythms sway her golden hair.
Though not for mortal, mundane eyes,
'tis far too pure in its disguise,
as thronic thralls beneath the moon,
it harkens late, an' e'er too soon.
