Feather bathe with me in sage smoke
Brace for age-old mysteries unravelled
Together listen for words ancients spoke
As we trace this lonely path less travelled
We'll thank the Earth for seven river-stones
With tobacco prayers wrapped red in cotton
Then let winds speak to us in Heaven's tones
Seeking Truths from trails almost forgotten
Come we'll each make three strands of sweetgrass
Braiding minds, bodies, souls - One - re-connected
We'll thrill to gentler wind-songs from the past
Fading like the sunlight 'long this road neglected
Ride with me strident dear Epeona's daughter
O'er rock hill & dale, olde and mystic, sodden
Rising high above cold still black water
Hack with me, Love, on trails bold, less trodden
Build tonight our bright fire circle 'round
Come dance me 'bout Hell's pyre widdershins
Romancing by what e'er ancient songs surround
Lodge down warm with me on plains well-hidden
