Spinning

Round and round spinning like the sun,
Soon our days are almost done.
Dancing till the break of dawn,
Soon this dance is almost gone.
Your lips meet mine, a thrilling touch,
Soon this will all be too much.
You watch the way your lover's dance,
You watch until you're in a trance.
Your head thinks this is just a test,
But your heart does know your lover best.
Caress your face, the magic fleeting,
But your heart just keeps on beating.
A tempo for the lovers, two.
Soon it's done through and through.
All has stopped, the dance is dead,
Now the lovers head to bed.
The room is hushed,
Their breath is rushed.
Their hands will roam, their fingers splayed,
There is no time to be delayed.
They dive in deep and lose their breath,
Soon will come the little death.
Both lay and rest, hurt from the past,
They both shall know this love will last.
These lovers know now what is best,
Together now they must rest.
The day has come, the dance is done,
Spinning , spinning like the sun...
