Autumn's Bittersweet Bouquet

Autumn’s Bittersweet Bouquet
Break false vows for all they’re worth
Then take my heart and breath away
Accept that heaven’s here on Earth
In cold autumn’s bittersweet bouquet
Be careful what you wish for
As we cast hopeful ‘pon the wind
For old souls are what gods fish for
And goddess knows much well we’ve sinned
Leave me wanting in Love’s dirth
Yearning for your return some day
‘Learning much ‘bout things She stirreth
And this fall’s dark dragons I must slay
Guide me through your Fifth of Firth
By fire-light from bales of hay
Remember May-days spent in divine mirth
Bright beneath September’s sky blue-grey
Will spring’s full moon bring us Rebirth?
Perhaps its still too soon to say…
Break false vows for all their worth
Take this autumn’s bittersweet bouquet
