My Spirit's Prayer

Lady help
My life be just
Let my Spirit
Shake off its dust,
Every grief
I have to bear
Every disappointment
And despair
Each is but
Another stair
Step by step
Mile by mile -
No other path is
Worth my while -
Light and shadows
Will fill my day
Joys and sorrows
Each pass away,
But by your love
Your kind smile
You help ease
All my trials
No matter
Where my path
May wind
Help me keep
Thy Light
In Mind
