They See Us And Despair

Age Group: Adult
all who seek the Lady
and her Lord
after a time
come to stand
cliffside and look
over the edge
into the abyss
if we have love
we leap off into
what is yet unknowable
and to the unending consternation
of those we leave
Earthbound
we find that
we can indeed fly
we soar so very high
they see us and despair
