How dreary your world
Edgar, what a sad sight
How was that you so pondered
In places so dark, so dreary
Poetry and stories of gothic wonder
Your pen never weary
Speaking of dark things
Ravens, graves, ghosts and such
The likes of many a dreary landscape
The darkness you carried so much
Pen to paper, your words did drape
And to this day, your words fulfill
In their dark ethereal embrace
Their gothic tendencies to thrill
The reader with your grace.
