Beautiful Nightmare

Ever since you changed
I looked at you in an entirely different light
I hated you, I liked you then I loved you
Could these be further apart?
I shied away for too long
I’ve hid my feelings so much that
My “friend” had to tell you
And now you know…and now you know
You’re a beautiful nightmare
Dangerous yet lovable
I know normally I should stay away
But I can’t; why can’t I stay away when you can so easily?
I swear to you, I never thought
That I would ever like you at all
I was more in shock than anyone else
I was warned about you
But knowing me; do you expect me to listen?
I’ve searched for so long
For what this truly means
I’m still not exactly sure
But one thing’s for sure
You’re a beautiful nightmare
Dangerous yet lovable
I know normally I should stay away
But I can’t; why can’t I stay away when you can so easily?
I’m ready to be hurt
I have people ready to catch me when I fall
But now I begin to question
If it’s necessary anymore
Do I need to be saved?
Will there be a reason to save me
Or will I be alright for once,
Will I end up with my heart still in one piece?
