Morning Prayer

On every Morning that I am forced awake, I bite my tounge lest I curse the light of dawn and I whisper to myself.
I am Pretty, Although I may not be the prettiest.
I am Strong, though I may not be the strongest.
I am Wise; In spite of my arogence.
If anyone should go on, Should it be me?
I am decended from those who stepped out onto the ice.
Those who turned their backs to the sun to walk into shadow.
And although I am the servant of Man, I am an equal to the Gods.
And just as the ocean has become this drop, so too will this drop become the ocean.
I am not afraid.
So I go on.
Author's Notes: I have at times found it hard to motivate myself to participate in 'normal' society. I have done many jobs that I can easily say I hated. This is my morning prayer to the Sun and an amusing start to the day.
