In the Darkness

In darkness we stay
forever in night
wondering and looking
searching for light
In darkness we hide
we wonder and wait
with friends all around
all gathered by fate
In darkness we hope
for when the light reigns
for when we are free
for the cease of our pains
In darkness we stay
we yearn for its end
until we realize what light is
the light is our friends
