The Unjust of Intricacies

Age Group: Adult
Alone in the darkened corners
Of dark song and long waits
Alone is the small’n, that loner
Trying not to express any more hate
Small’n sits in her own depressions
And despises all these intruders
She’d like to remain in silence with obsessions
But the lonely spots seem to elude her
Lo! And suddenly small’n has a friend
Who could tell? Wasn’t expected…
Thought they’d go all the way to the end
But all of a sudden small’n is rejected
Not by any friend or helping hand
But by the bystanders who accuse and assume
Still, whatever was said by the other to a demand
It had been an indirect hit that had made small’n’s tomb
Small’n always knew, that belonging wasn’t for her
And yet she tried it once, and got sucked in
Not knowing that soon she’d regret for sure
Trying to blend together with all those steeped in sin
Small’n suffers her honest failures
She comforts and gives moral support
And reaps the glory of having found right answers
But finds walls that answer her with unjust retorts
What could she have expected? She’d sunken low
And too deep into intricacies
Deep enough for talk to rumor its way around and blow
And only when it hurts the most is when she begins to see.
