As I sit here in remorse

Age Group: Adult
My thoughts are pushing
And torturing out words…
And yet the possibilities
Still mount… in the past.
I grow sad, thrust out of happiness
For finally getting an answer
Because I remember
What… -almost- was.
And it hurts… and a part of me
Still wants it so… another
Wants to stick to what I have
Now… yet another
Is seeking out, this new line
And through it all I sit in remorse
Just biding my time.
My feelings are uncertain
Maybe there’s too much space
In my heart… too many outlets
Ready for a new start.
Too many memories web around
And through it all I sit at home,
Chest pressed to the deep ground.
