Never stop talking…

How the silence is hurting, how
I wish to break it in two… how deeply
do I wish to simply… speak… to you…
what strange infection had set me blind
had finally been cleared… yes, I am
finally free, of many chains… except for those
that are succumbing to my pain…
do not silence your unspoken thoughts
for I love to hear your voice so…
it is more than a mere addiction…
an infatuation, it’s more than obsession
better, nobler than anything
I’ve ever experienced before
that voice! it makes me want more and more…
just to listen, I’d like to hear
everything you’ve been afraid to say…
don’t shy away, please, don’t ever stop talking…
how the silence is hurting, how
I wish you’d be at home once more, so that
I may speak to you, free of such distance chains
like it was before… ride home swift,
Warder of my heart…
Would it be much to ask,
if I asked that I be heard for once
if I let myself go, let myself loose…
to be understood by the only person alive
who can release my pain? just by existing…
it’s enough… just exist for me…
I wonder if there ever will be a time
when I listen to my heart, and not have to cry
I wonder, and yet I listen…
a wounded heart and soul… in a grove…
brave, and once alone…
if I show you my pain, would you be frightened away?
Of that, I am afraid…
If I lost another man I loved as deeply
as I realized I do you… more than anyone before
I would surely diminish and die…
feel undeserving of life…
if I only could be held by you
all my pains would be silenced…
if only you’d be nearer than now
I’d never hurt again…
You said once, that for a while I loved you…
I never stopped loving you…
