Happens every day
by Widdershins
Age Group: Adult
Like an overused memory
the moment
haunts me
and shows me, opens me
to receive…
and yet, I grieve? how is this so
had not enough been done
or is it the usual slash and sting
of inconvenience?
The question hits me hard…
so astounding it is to be asked
the painfully, beautifully obvious
can they not see… the monumental moment
the height of anticipation, a promise
to an end of tears…
and yet it is to be put off longer
which hurts more, than anything
has ever hurt
before.
It’s when it gets to me
the way things are
it’s the moment that I’ve waited for, and
taken away… by something
that happens any day
every day…
