My fantasy slumber… (energy dying)

The energy has fled from me
the dying day is invading…
sunlight dropping my eyes closed
and the sweet dew of tomorrow
promising dreams…
The twisting inside of past regrets
has made me tired, yet I can’t forget
all the tears begotten on the way
all the burnings that stray in my path
in my hearth, burning wrath of
Soulspeak…
The energy is dying today
as my fingers erode away
speaking to no one
in particular
the times are turning fast, and
duties pile on my doorstep, waiting
to be entered into reality…
shall I grant you existence, and
escape the scolding frowns, shall I
give you my last breath to be done?
Shall I say goodbye to my thoughts, and
greet the material world again, only to
slip away… and under… back
into my fantasy slumber…
Shall I let go and fall asleep, or
stay awake and strive…
shall I simply fall to pieces or…
shall I fight?
Can the energy please return, to
my seeking, tired hands, can
I be blessed with a wakeful day?
can I forget where I’ve strayed?
can my heart stay silent, for a moment now?
Or do I frown too much, and scoff
only to realize what I’ve put off…
do I ponder too much on reality…
when my brand of existence is insanity…?
Shall I just… let… it be?
