Vision disease

Come to me, my vision
and inhabit another vessel to sail
seas and lands, inhabit and infest
creeping, absorbing vines, the lush forest,
the mind with thoughts of sweetness…
Spread like a disease, and heal
the empty gashes, where from pain bleeds…
making the horizon swim a jealous orange, hurting red, and
join the deep, emerald green sea… wherein I stare…
and become utterly lost in deep splendor there…
Ships of memory sail my way,
the cold winds blowing them to my mind’s shores
and puncturing my dreams…
just like yesterday, too, had they sailed…
and veiled my mind with past sweetness removed…
a pain that no seas have been able to soothe, until
the sky bleeds away… and the splashing color drains
into the black nothingness of night,
wherefrom the diamonds start to sieve through
on velvet, dark blue skies…
The lonely little tree inside my heart’s coast
had been splintered by lightning, intended to take away all hope,
and somehow everything was greener before the storm came,
but now it has cleared away… to leave ruin
and ground for new growth, no longer in the dark…
little roots connecting to a calmed sea,
so that winds splash my lips with new sweet kisses,
distant, still…
