A little flower to mark it’s place…

The chime stirred feeling into the blackness
fantasy mirroring reality, oh! what a fascination…
the desperate grasp had bedded long woe—
memory is a child’s game, where the reds
are remembered metallic gray… the blues are
sunken into stolen parts of fiction
where the eviction of loneliness was the crime…
for the child desperately cries that these
browned, dry leaves be “mine!” forever collected
and pinned to the ground… locked deep, safe
and sound… where sweet trembles erupt
from the ground up, through your roots…
and suddenly…
the stilled fire comes back as a shining light…
prepared for a new crusade of Lord Darkness
“soft is my passion, ” says the child…
and the naïve adult is hardened…
because to be the wise is to soften…
for each stab of pain, there must remain
a little flower… to mark it’s place.
