“Slowest Possible Groove”

Had I thought it would be enough…
that you’d leave me be?
After it all, I’d sat there still enthralled,
in love and absorbed by it all…
never trusted again, but just the same!
To know it all… a little more
about you, a little crumb…
just a taste more, a little long…
Now the same things I loved too…
just makes me feel emptier than before
because where you stretched the small
womb of attention, you tore into it
marred and scarred it repeatedly,
until I decided to be rid of you…
Had I thought it would be enough…
that you’d leave me be?
Even through the newest moons
that cause me visitations of love and swoons,
through all that came the Slowest Possible Groove…
yet another thing… tied… to you…
there it was, the empty hole…
now it’s a painful thing, that once it was joy
that once, I’d felt the strangled passion of fiction
that meant to me, you…
now I cut that away from you, that too…
Had I thought it would be enough…
that you’d leave me be?
The silent start, that meant warmth
cool breezes and warmth of heart,
metaphysical touch, and eyes beholding the sky…
through all those legacies… yes… the calmness
now…
the calmest, slowest silence
the slowest, calmest, cruel pain…
that once again… you’d taken
a piece of my heart
away…

Author's Notes: Another thing about that damned drow. This one is like this: see, when I'm reading summat, I tie a music to it, right? Usually summat softer than metal XDDD 'cause when I listen to that I like to -listen- to that, not as background noise or soundwave fill. Anyway. I was reading Legacy of the Drow. (Wow, was that a smart move!) And... obviously... argh. I'd been listening to Buddha Building... and there's this one song in particular, Slowest Possible Groove that is... suddenly quite painful. Goddess... life. -.-
