Emotional abuse

Merlin’s emerald had shone down, to light
the painful blight… a frightening sight,
heart wounded and pounded, shredded and grounded…
so, how odd, she’s still walking…
nothing’s happened? lying… can’t ye see…
she’s dying? Today, right now…
but she’s in safe arms all the same…
one wouldn’t think theirs rain in her heart
soaking the scars of…
emotional abuse…
Lucky girl, she wasn’t touched…
but she’d loved the wrong soul much too much…
got hurt and withdrew…
and it’s her that stands before you.

Author's Notes: Ye, er... just a reflection. I might not have been physically abused (thank the Lady) , but emotionally I have... o_o
