Those in the darkest nights

I decided one day
I’d go out and get a life, but I
decided against it again,
I’ll stay one more day in the system—
I thought I’d find my hope,
Get entangled in emotional rope,
but I decided again
against this rash plan
I’ll stay…
one more day…
Today, once again I thought
I’d leave, and find my joy, but I
decided to remain
in the world of hate
and pain…
I want to break away, and find
the happiness that has been lost,
but I always remain
to help the others stay… alive…
Once I thought I’d leave,
I took the time to dream, but I
shattered them one by one
because
to leave would have been to die…
The other world awaits me, perhaps,
but I’m not ready to go there
and be happy and fulfilled
when everyone here is being killed…
Those who are mutilated
don’t receive the soothing tears to ease
them out of their pain
the scars and wounds remain—
Those who hurt and shout
don’t realize what it’s about, that
their days are numbered
soon they’ll enter their own slumber…
One day, I had a dream
I’d leave this reality, I’d
find my happiness…
I’d be one with my Goddess, but I
found out there’s still life ahead of me…
and many lives to save next to me…
Oh, I found my true joy
In this heartless world I live in, and it’s
the caring and love I share
with the people trapped in there…
Who haven’t seen my light…
who are in the darkest
of nights…
