Why sad, my Little Gothic?

Tell me, why you turn away?
Why your tears are flowing
from your deepened eyes
why are you shrouded in black,
when your inner sun burns, shines?
Who has hurt you, my Little Gothic
so that your hands clench in pain
who has coaxed you out and betrayed?
Have you worn your heart on
the outside for too long, why
do you cry, whisper your torment
to the black night?
Beauty in darkness, my Little Gothic
come out for a moment to see the light…
come out and tell me why you cry,
when I share your tears,
when they mingle with mine?
Have you done your spells, your
Magick homework, have you
studied your fantasy,
and spun new worlds out of the air?
Are you prepared to face everyone,
when there’s so much more to fathom
in the darkness, there behind you…
in front of you…
Why are you sad, my Little Gothic?
Who has hurt you?
Because my Little beauty in darkness…
you’ve enchanted the forests you’ve touched
and the frost has melted by your true heart
that loves so much…
