Marinating
by Widdershins
Age Group: Adult
The marooning thoughts lanced
through docks and wavered
a steady moment on a silver wave
ready to ease the sea salt between
the moldy and slick boards,
already slipping from the algae…
just like the pathologically wicked
getting just beyond and out of your grasp
as, spitting your lungs out, you gasp
for the last little waver of sanity,
some annoying and taunting glimmer
before it dissolves into a sarcastic mist
of inhumane sublimations,
incongruent realities splitting
before a mind not yet ready…
