My unreal

So distant was the linear sound vibration, setting me back,
shouting ahead at me, reprimanding—return to that…
see here, the true value that had as ever been unsatisfied,
the now known unstoppable chain of need:
see now, you were wrong? As wrong as you could be
But the value – so strong – of the illusion still eludes me…
the warrior of illusion, my unreal
stretching out to be mine for a moment, promising the sky
satisfying no instinct nor need, granting no reply—
just a waft of words and pain, intertwined and wrapped as a gift
the unreal had reached out to hurt, scarred me with it…
successfully granting me
the illusionary world of unfeeling, of the locked heart
the abuse of the unknown and inconsistency
my once beloved unreal…
how you torment me still…
unfinished? Is that your duel you challenge me with,
set out, are you handing me my dropped sword? Am I
to cut myself free, as I once failed, is that your off switch?
when will you let me be
my unreal…
how you torment me still…
without perhaps ever meaning to,
you never die within me, no matter how many times
I’ve died in you…
