I haunt… (Mr. Brightside)

Age Group: Adult
All of it becomes in silence
the desolate and meaningless,
my place of hope and salvation,
the one chance to see clear…
but it is no clarity I find, no peace…
it becomes meaningless how many times
the night was rode by knights,
passing my way, it becomes distant
for the hollow void that gently settles
like dust on an antique carpet, between
me and all others…
My strength has left me momentarily,
by getting the feel of avoidance, pressing
the small little tortures of reenactment,
phobic reaction to silence…
And what else is there? besides
the frustrations of being alive…
always wounding the other, by his own
headstrong lack of understanding…
of course I can explain…
but when alone, I truly am
locked away…
In the streets, so exciting, the world
I miss delving into, when may I return?
but there, lays the gateway,
to another, more sundry reasoned avoidance,
yet in reverence, I call to it and soothe it
for my lack of ignorance of it has made
Ii uneasy and restless, for I told
in the laws by which I abide,
that from that world I shall ever hide…
Why do I haunt the emptiness at a constant?
my curiosity, thirst for a response…
some sign that my message was taken,
or am I seeking for a mere pause to be broken?
I’d like to see it tried…
but I’m afraid it’ll never be,
I’ll be left alone here forever… yet
I haunt…
Mr. Brightside knifes me with memory
and reappears wherever I turn…
when I look away, a mirror is erected
before me, showing what I’ve left behind…
so much more to learn…

Author's Notes: Will it never end? -.- I want to know why life keeps wanting to remind me of something I've been guided to forget... well, not in that way, never. But there is no destiny in that course... why then, does it ceaselessly return?
