Fool me just this once…

In the bitter winds I stand at the bend,
musing about foe and friend, before
I come to the delusion that they’re all
one and the same… you’ve made me believe
that this is the reason why I grieve.
To the sighs of the flying dust,
I whispered my own wish, to be carried upon
the breath of icy gale,
on the brink of swelling tides,
devoid of the cold force it hides, and I say
to the grieving cloud and shining day:
fool me just this once…
that you’re not afraid… tell me.
Fool me into believing
I’m more than a mere problem
a plague in your mind,
a curse in your life,
foolish me will believe, that you’ve set aside
what internal hells you hide,
your need and thirst to strive in the most dire
of situations in your already troubled life…
all you have to do is say
what you feel without hiding it away—
no story or poetry will unlock your mystery
that much I can surely see…
But for a while… you’d fooled me,
and I’d taken the step down into oblivion
where your fear took its ransom—
and I’d crossed the brink into blackness…
where the bitter wind and I merged,
where I became the Earth’s mere surge of life,
before falling back to the ground…
fool me just this once,
that you’d done it all out of
impossible love…
…and I’ll believe.

Author's Notes: Well... I dunno what this is supposed to be. It's an impossible request... there's no real chance that it'll happen, and to tell the truth, I don't need it. But the feeling doesn't stop bothering me... I'd read something that (perhaps) I shouldn't have... it made me understand why my heart had been broken 3 times over, and why each time it never really ended... up till now. Because now, knowing that... there's no going back. It's not something I can ever forgive.
XD Arrr, well, as an Author's Note this is getting a little abstract for those who don't know what I'm talking about, so... just ignore it, and enjoy the poem... XD That is, if it -can- be enjoyed. =/ I mean, it's not exactly a happy poem. But when have I ever written truly happy poetry? XDD
