As long as tomorrow exists…

Little valiant Awful
took the bid and slid down
to the frosting grounds of tempest—
riddance… little Awful, it’s called Time
cohering my enveloped mind,
your torment is that
it’s just… the way it seems to be
an odd cross of morose reality, and
pining? tomorrow never comes at all,
little Awful, tomorrow is Time’s trickery,
it’s honey-string of hope…
but do not admire it as a gloat,
for someday you’ll see that Time has in store
for you the manifestation,
odd and strange though it may be…
you do not seem so ‘Awful’ to me…
your true name is that of all that’s passed,
you, too, are a mere piece
on the black and white grid of space
on which Time patiently plays…
yes, so is the name,
that keeps playing its endless game…
a reminder, that it’s just never “over”,
as long as tomorrow exists…
