The beginning of My Story…

Age Group: Adult
Persisting… there, in the same room,
there in the same city, the same town,
sitting and waiting… for me…
please don’t wait… and as I enter,
the cage of a lift to take me above all this,
you jump up with that placid look…
those burning eyes, filled with hells
and no smile to cross your face
and you follow me in…
now I am lost,
all lost… no love could turn back
the bitter winds that blow through my hair,
the eyes that lock onto mine, and
with a declaration you take me into your arms,
but it’s all wrong! and yet…
I can’t tear away… though you’ve pushed me
so many times from being too near,
now you follow me everywhere…
like a haunting ghost, entering my dreams
without my permission, you’re there!
and raging in your silence… in your persistence…
as you quietly wait in suffering,
wait for the day you’ll never see,
the day when you no longer
have to wait for me…
this… is the beginning
of what years from now
I shall call…
