Space is a golf course

Age Group: Adult
When space is just a golf course
awaiting conquering dubbed as ‘discovery’
walking outside a ship is a mere pleasantry,
the dire onset of landing tragedy
the white screen blinking reflects static
as the black one makes a time leap
and through the worm hole we wind our way
making the seeping heat mutely weep…
there the dark matter presses the eyelids
of the drowsy consciousness of mankind
and we dream of taking our batters
out there, coyly disguised as searching for ‘new kinds’…
the old illusions spread mirthfully through space
and vanished is humanity’s hope, gone without a trace…
Such an easy solution for a hard problem
we do not solve… we simply
stop them.
