All I’ve become
by Widdershins
Age Group: Adult
From a sky full of stars have I
become a lone star full of sky
going on one path, alone perhaps
with millions of years yet to fly
From a tree full of mossy green leaves
have I become the single leaf
gauging my darkened being to land
safely upon a grounded weave
Going on my journey from the sea
have I become a single drop to weep
one liquid blue in the coming storm
to impact the Earth and quietly seep
From the lonely wanderer on the fantasy road
have I become a legacy as of yet untold
my journey weaving in and out of lives
sank into the depths of embarrassed withhold
Such a sensitive frailty of heart
had been removed and ripped apart
to leave the stronghold where I reside
my heart protected from every pang of life…
…I’ve been made into this…
