Morning meditation on a field of clouds

Do you mind if I stay a while,
in the morning fantasy, spinning before me
last night’s cold field of blinding silver clouds
are still living within me, long after they’ve passed
the mouth of the cave inside…
passed the mouth of my cave…
Under a full and patient moon,
the brisk wind howled then, and it does still
pushes to my opened ears now
and the dawn is greeted by gentle rain
laced with the cool and soothing air
coming in to freshen my wakening eyes…
coming to freshen my life…
Subterranean chanting billows
up through my consciousness’ waves
like a bubble of warm and peaceful protection
ceasing only to show me what it is
that has come to me like a deity
disguised…
come in disguise… but I know
So much like the dark chants
that had thrilled my fantasy to life
so similar these deep, unwavering sounds
yet they mean everything so differently
they are the slow rhythm of the ground…
the body of the Earth moves in one with mine…
Just emerging from the veiling dream world
proceeding towards conscious wakefulness
my body slows down in meditation
to join those worlds from a different angle
oh! the joys of your holy elation…
I am wrapped tightly unmoving in meditation…

Author's Notes: Inspired by Öophi & Tau Ceti's "In the Wake of Ouranos", from the album Subterranea. If you don't know it, I recommend it!!! What a peaceful and beautiful music......... made my morning med special indeed...
