Exile

by Widdershins
 Age Group: Adult

Coming beating about the brush rises into black flame I’m home, it’s been too long— why do I want to be here? come with me wipe away your tears, and welcome back home…
I’m not really present, am I letting echoes riddle through me once again it’s becoming my personalized cliché to keep remembering again and again I’m getting stereotypical as compared to myself…
The subtle wave of subsidiary change… isn’t washing me away…
Bearing my lost divine light that I’d been given, that I hold tight I sit in the attic as it floats down the stream of life in a boat of dreams, why do I still believe in all of it after all this time?
Why do I feel that it’s all somewhere a lie I keep running in circles, is that all there is to life? come memory, come salvation, come soothing and then comes the damnedest feeling of coming back home… I’m home, it’s been too long— why do I want to be here? come with me wipe away your tears, and welcome back home…
My jaw suddenly aches in the peripheral light that’s covered by the clouds so that it sifts lighting all the dirt and dust that rises around your feet as you step onto long forgotten streets the creatures come out and greet you with joy… welcome home again, you’ll like it we’re sure it hasn’t changed at all it’s filled with damnation and life it’s been waiting for its mistress to return…
Scatter Mistress that I be, I’ve come back to this black sea where lies all my darkness and all my light in which I’m at home…
Don’t pointlessly waste my faith come here and speak to me before its too late the laws of this land are still on so quick, win my grace and enter my service before I take down the walls that separate the hell on the one side and the peace and quiet starting from the gate’s maw don’t you wonder which side you are on?
I’m not staring at you for no reason let the blindfold down don’t touch the cloth of your dress in distress here I am still Lady of all— answer me: what’s with this new place? what is it, a museum for all things lost? those things should be gone without a trace! what’s taking all you scurrying ants so long!
Watch, now the bell tolls the middle of night where the vampires of desire being their flight they alight on all your shut eyes, and gnaw away your fears and your despise— “enter the real world, see it all as it is there’s nothing to gain from restraint, ” they whisper this… can’t you hear the incredible roaring crunch and creak of the giant wheels slowly beginning to turn can’t you feel the encumbering weight of the gates as they pull open the giant maw… here, come see… it’s all as it was it’s all you’ve ever ignored “welcome home, Scatter Mistress… “welcome back to the dark side…”
