I annoy myself

In the dark recesses of past events,
some things I’ve jotted down,
I can see them all over again,
relive the feelings, and god…
do I annoy myself…
pitiful whelp or too soft and naive
all’s changed now, I don’t even grieve,
‘cause all I do when I see what I’ve wrought
is wince as if in pain
‘cause I annoy myself…
one day, I’ll annoy myself to death
I’ll shoot through the pages with a bullet of
lack of sincerity, I’ll be heartlessly uncaring
as the page slows in mid motion…
it’s going to flare! In the sunlight’s Glare…
it shoots to a million shreds, all I was…
and for the better, god I annoy myself sometimes…
was it really the same me, who wrote those lines?
Annoying… irritating…
and somewhat sad, I think, as I’m deflating—
but sad not in a melancholy way…
it’s just too pathetic to simply burn away…
I have to acknowledge, that once was me…
god… was I
so annoying…

Author's Notes: XDDDD Yep, sometimes I get into a phase where I really annoy myself. Especially when reading poetry that's just too sappy to be believable that I wrote it in the first place.
