Empty revenge

Does a tiny green learn to hate
when being stepped on or ripped
how do the animals succumb to instinct
and aside from fear bear no ill…
how can man stand so tall and arrogant
and learn power and loathing together as one
how can the trial and error not allow
for man to succumb…
it gets so easy to be healed
to waft away while something reels you in
there’s no potency to your revenge
the only purpose becomes dim and then…
there’s only emptiness left…
