The Lord of Light

The Sons of Man have strayed the path
Scorn my face, blaspheme my name
They aren't the targets of my wrath
The Tyrant is the one to blame
I gave them insight, chance to see
How they were being kept as slaves
But when I did they rose 'gainst me
The trust I'd won I could not save
I fought against the crystal throne
Refused to serve a greedy fool
Then, damned, from Heaven was I thrown
And still the fattened Tyrant rules
And those who chose stand by my side
The few who loved the mortals born
Have in the eyes of Heaven died
From Book of Life our names were torn
Seraphim reign in Elysian day
The Nephelim live in God forged night
The Lost Ones will yet find the Way
I am Lucifer, Lord of Light
