desire, redefined, refined, revisited...

by the doc

Age Group: Adult

Stories untold of countless shedded tears
Travelling subconsciously over unknown roads
Together and alone
In conditions conducive to be labelled madness
We had to argue and keep silent
You, just an attractive face
Neither totally meeting nor totally separate
What a weird acquaintance
Neither strangers nor lovers
Judged by a thousand eyes
Aware of just the physical closeness
Unaware of the pain of the multiple differences
So skillful did we become
In interpreting our gestures
Our pretenses, our eyes
Every accomodating the other.
Was it
A fear of loneliness
Or an act for nothing better to do
You, o eternity of secrets
Have known all my most dear treasures
O how reality kills
You who were waiting
For somebody to pass on your forlorn road
Till your patience asked its price
And coincidence…took its
Touching both our beings
Blowing the dust of events of over a thousand
Repetetive days and nights

Where desires dream the dream of youth....
In the path of devotion,
and its previously mentioned throughout all ages
renunciation,
what should one do if one faces the faults
prevalent due to the Iron Age?
'In the middle ages, there were only
monks within monasteries' [Ayn Rand]
That is being described...
In the beginning stages on this path of devotion, by resorting to renunciation
there are no definite examples of a devotee....
Just Dionysius or Mephistopheles
Vrutrasura or Narakasura [Indian scriptures]
facing downfall or being debased or degenerated
by his feelings of worship...
To maintain life by begging like a mendicant
shouting 'i need food'
and the food begotten too is provided to God,
in the form of generous strangers,
hence what harm can befall such a devotee?
God Himself thus cannot create any obstacles
for such a devotee, then how can Time or Age etc?
Can Distant decent distances then,
be the source of such hindrances?
If they do so,
mothers would not nourish their children with their milk,
the cows as well as mothers have tuberculosis...
want to transmit a genetically acquired hereditary default
to an offspring - presumably innocent?
as all would eventually lead to delusion....
'In the long run, we'll all be dead' [Atlas Shrugged, A.Rand] and misguided beliefs.....
Life is just a process of postponed death [Father Wallace] By the statements of those on the path of knowledge..
that Maya, the illusionary strength of God
will see to it that it affects and deviates a devotee
from his path,
why does she do that?
Occupational hazard - darlin'....
however, that
does not hold true for a truly pious devotee....
rare to find, needless to say...
He has already offered and surrendered himself
to the protection of God,
is dear to God Himself; hence,
Maya does not create any trouble for him,
or does she?
the sensation of surprise, an elemental touch...
so, do not even come near him or indulge him
in the bonds of infatuation.....
Due to these reasons, as mentioned to His devout
companion and friend, Uddhav in the 11th Skandha of the Shreemad Bhaagwat, {an ancient Indian sacred text}
those on the paths of devotion
must renounce
or else.....
he falls down from....
his own urge of knowing God...
experiencing intense separation and eventually following His wish.
Hence, better be safe than sorry,
forewarned is fore-armed [no pun intended]
moral of the story:
do not try to dig a well if your house is on fire...
try to save as much as you can..
including lives
if possible...
lovin you as always....
