PUO - pyrexia [fever] of unknown origin -

by the doc

Age Group: Adult

A 57-year-old man presents to the emergency department with a sore - sure you must have heard of bed sores...
throat, photophobia, headache, and a stiff neck.
Kernig and Brudzinski
signs are positive....
catscan, Computed tomography of the head without contrast
shows no abnormalities. ...
Meningitis is suspected, and a lumbar puncture
is performed...
implying thereby that fluid has been taken out
from the spinal cord
with the help of a syringe and a needle
like heroin addicts...require sterilized stuff..
For this patient, which of the following cerebrospinal fluid findings
would most likely be associated with viral meningitis?
A. Cloudy CSF
B. A cell count of more than 100 polymorphonuclear cells and a low
glucose level
C. High protein concentration
D. Mononuclear pleocytosis with a normal glucose level?
can you answer all this?
if yes, you are either
[a] a medic
[b] a paramedic
[c] a subscriber to
[d] a disinterested chap with time to kill about who writes what now-a-days...
Finding the current best evidence for clinical practice....
posttest importance
of pretest probability....
Beyond sensitivity and
this is called mad medical jargon, tomfoolery...
why waste both time and cash?
that is true
however if this option appeals, you are free to take it...
kindly consider in all cases of
arson and anti-social or terrorism acts...
your past is taunting you, haunting you
will not even leave you in dreams...
consider your own money, rightfully yours
if looted by thugs
that you too must have robbed lots of people
[pointless remains the fact that they wanted you to loot]
you accepted
you or some of your friends might have paid them back
in full
so fort or no fort or any fortress or ruins
might be ok
atleast you are debtless and not culturally bankrupt
for not living upto your promises
of returning stolen goods
in form of cash or kind
needless to say
'O Carol' is a very famous song...
