imagine christ with a harmonica....

by the doc

Age Group: Adult

(1)
In those beautiful lakes with clean waters due to the purifying season of ‘Sharad’ – the months of Dec-Jan; with fragrant ambience spread out in those arbours of Vrundavan due to blooming lotuses, God Krushna alongwith His cow-herd friends and cattle, entered these beautiful waters.

(2)
With blossomed flowers and petals on the branches of the trees of the forests of Vrundavan, intoxicated with them, groups of bees and beautiful birds gathered near those lakes, rivers and hills of Vrundavan; alongwith Balaramji, His elder brother and His friends, while grazing cows, God Krushna, the Ultimate Experiencer of all the Rasas, started playing upon His flute.

(3)
After listening to that beautiful and love arousing melody from all side of God Krushna’s flute, some Gopijanas of Vraj, in His absence described Him to her other friends.

(4)
That Gopijanas, who had begun to describe God Krushna, out of the intense memory of various different Leelas of God Krushna, got so merged with them that she became speechless, filled with intense longing for God, and could not continue with her description, O King (Pariksh*t) !

(5)
God Krushna, adorning the pea***-feather on His head, resembling a theatre artist or a dramatist with His handsomeness like that of a bridegroom, with earrings made of the Karnikaar bud and flower in both His ears, with a garment as lustrous as gold and adorning the 5 coloured flower garland (of the plant) Vaijanti, filling the emptiness of the holes of the flute with the nectar from His lips, whose praises and Leelas are ever sung by those dwelling in Gokul, Vraj and Vrundavan, that Divine God Krushna who moves according to His diving wish, then entered Vrundavan.

(6)
O King, listening to this beautiful melody which captivated the hearts of all that exists, and describing it among themselves, the Gopijanas of Vraj forgetful of all else merged with God Krushna and enjoyed Bliss.

(7)
O dear friends, walking behind those grazing animals, with His similar age friends, and entering the dense Vrundavan, merged Himself in playing the flute alongwith Balaramji, the two sons of the owner of Vraj – Nandrajji, where loving indications are being showered on that one divine face of God Krushna, whose divine beauty is being drunk by these Gopijanas – the personified form of all scriptures leading to God realization say that as described above God Krushna and His vision is the ultimate endeavour of all those with eyes and not emancipation as we ourselves know out of experience.

(8)
Resembling the magnificence of classical musicians on a grand stage, with leaves of a sweet mango tree of the surrounding arbour, pea*** feathers of the head and the near-by birds, with His divine golden garments and His love-involving garland, with these fantastic apparels and appearances, and sometimes singing out with ecstasy, these two handsome Gods Krushna and Balaramji adorned their group of friends in the dense Vrundavan.

(9)
O Gopijanas, what religious – meritorious – virtuous act has this flute done that it so lovingly enjoys the nectar from the Gopijanas own God, Damodar Krushna’s lips and has become to be known too with Him? The remaining lip nectar is enjoyed by the rivers and trees (sort of parents from which the flute arose) and they in ecstasy have bloomed lotuses; like minute pleasant shocks that a body experiences in joy, and then at times have tears rolling down their beings, as is seen in pious saints due to their deep love for God.

(10)
O dear friend, that dear earth of Vrundavan has earnt the splendour of Goddess Laxmi by bearing upon herself the Divine feet of the son of Devaki, and following the celestial melody of the flute of Govinda, seeing pea***s dance in ecstasy around Him and seeing other creatures residing on mountain Goverdhan (like knowledgeable devotees who speak with silence at times) in serenity, this gifted Vrundavan rally adds to the glory of this earth.

(11)
These dumb she-deers too are extremely fortunate, who on seeing God Krushna with their own escorts of herds of black deer, and upon seeing His fantastic appearance and listening to His melodious tunes, have by looking at him lovingly known and experienced that composed worship of the creation with the creator, of a mutually loving God and devotee.

(12)
Upon seeing with His indescribable beauty and unique appearance, God Krushna who ever is the cause of celebration and delight of damsels and upon hearing the divine melody and wordless song from His flutes, those heavenly goddesses who travel by air lost their sense of discrimination, their flowers fell off their hair, their restless movements loosened their garments and have fainted out of intense longing.

(13)
And upon hearing that wonderful melody of God Krushna’s flute, cows with overflowing milk, from the udders as meals for their calves, and the calves themselves with raised ears for attentively listening to those notes of God, and drinking that nectar like sounds with their vessel like ears, have experienced the divinity within themselves and stand unmoved with tears in their eyes.
(14)
O mother Yashoda! How glad as well as distressful it is that these dense woods, seated on the beautiful leaved branches and trees, these birds, like pious saints, look upon nothing else but God Krushna, contemplate Him with closed eyes, are very quiet due to their intense experience of knowing God, and who attentively listen to the spoken as well as the unspoken song of God Krushna and enjoy with Him are actually great sages in these forms.

(15)
Upon listening to those tones of God Krushna, the rivers too, out of intense love and longing for God have stopped from their natural forceful flow, have offered the gifts of lotuses from the heart to Him, these rivers, too embrace the divine feet of God Krushna – Murari – the known foe of water associated demon – Moor – of rigid delusional beliefs, have extended their arms-like wavelets near the feet of God Krushna.

(16)
God Krushna and Balaramji, grazing these animals with their friends at noon in the dense woods of Vrundavan, and playing His divine flute, upon seeing thus and hearing those tunes, being filled with intense love and longing for God Krushna, the clouds have come lower down, as if offering themselves to God, and alongwith their delicate droplets of water like soft-petalled flowers have formed a pleasant shade and covering over the entire region.

(17)
Upon seeing that Kumkum (red turmeric auspiciously applied on the forehead, hands, feet etc) attached to the grass, from the divine feet of God, which rests and adorns the chest region of His consort Goddess Laxmiji, whose praises are sung by many and upon anointing themselves with the same on their face and chests, these Pulindis – women of natives (lowly, ignorant, illiterate class) became filled with intense love and longing for God; having attained their heart’s desire gave up that; these women are very devoted to God Krushna.
(18)
It is joyous and sad helpless, we women; that this mountain Goverdhan is the best among those who serve God Krushna; because along with the touch of the Divine feet of both Krushna and Balaram, the mountain experiences delight and offers water, fresh and scented grass, caves, fruits and edibles; and along with cows and their friends, they both adorn this mountain, who has devotionally offered them his pride earning hospitality.

(19)
O dear friends! By that divine, beautiful and indescribable melody from the flute of God Krushna, by that, intended with ropes of tying up different animals, alongwith His friends, going from one dense wood to the other, and taking all of them alongwith, it is strange in both the animate and the inanimate, that one becomes speechless and filled with love, longing and motionlessness while the other has overflowing of its juices and gooseflesh!! (meaning thereby that their attributes have sort of interchanged, trees unable to move so and rivers show signs of delight as seen in humans while others with life have become speechless and unable to move like trees and plants! Such being the effects on different devotees by their love for God Krushna) .

(20)
By mutually describing such infinite Leelas of God Krushna and His wanderings in the woods of Vrundavan due to His divine wish, among themselves (while involved in daily activities of work, sleep or upon waking) these Gopijanas have themselves become part of the Leela of God Krushna and never again got involved in the bondages of society and its infatuations.
