Age Group: Adult

(1)
The Gopijanas of Vraj, spent their days in the pain caused by the intense longing (for the nights to arrive and re experiencing the Raasa Leela) for God Krushna when He went with His friends to the dense woods of Vrundavan. Moved totally by this separation by their single-minded centredness of God Krushna, they, with effort throughout the day, sang the glories of the different Leelas of God Krushna.

(2-3)
O Gopijanas, when God Krushna, in the dense woods, with His left cheek resting on His left hand, with restless movements of eye brows, the Giver of all pleasures plays upon the flute and covers its holes with His delicate fingers and with the touch of His lips lets out His divine melody, at those times, even in the presence of great sages, goddesses and celestial damsels feel intense love for God, become coy and surrender themselves totally to that Divine melody to such an extent, that unware about their dressings, they faint with longing.

(4-5)
Woe to us ......why? are you? O helpless womenfolk! Listen to this astonishment! With the smile like that of beaming radiant pearls, and the chest with frozen lightenings, God Krushna, the Giver of all happiness, the son of Nandji, when plays His flute, then on hearing it from afar, those herds of cows, bulls, deer and the animals whose entire beings have been captivated, resembling painted pictures, with morsels of food still in their mouths (unable to chew or remove it) , and with raised ears, seem as if sleeping or in a deep trance - melodious mystic hymns....

(6-7)
O dear friend! Sometimes along with His friends and Balaramji, by adorning the pea*** feathers and various gems offered by the mountains and leaves, God Krushna emulates the appearance of a warrior, and calls all animals and cows near Him with the divine flute; at that time, rivers who have become stationary with intense longing, desire for that dust feet of God as blown by the wind who itself desires to touch His feet and be in His service. Yet, like us, bereft of any virtuous acts and the capacity of being able to transform ourselves like His consort Lakshmiji into animals or His friends, the river remains motionless with trembling wavelets like extended arms for embracing God Krushna.

(8-9)
The description of God Krushna’s deeds, like that of the Omnipotent Almighty is always done by those in His service and His friends; God Krushna with limitless grandeur and splendour, while wandering in the woods of Vrundavan, when calls upon His animals grazing in the deep parts of woods and mountains, and His friends, then really, touched by the intense love for God and reciprocating thereby by offering their services, trees heavy with fruits and flowers, have lowered their branches, the creepers are overflowing with their honey like secretions, signifying their total beings being merged in joy and delight.

(10-11)
By the divine fragrance of the Tulsi leaves from the garland extending from the neck to the feet (Vanmala) , intoxicated groups of bees buzzing around it in delight, and their song too being Honoured by His presence, the only One, whose divine vision is the ultimate benefit of those with eyes, that beautiful God Krushna when started playing the flute, A ho! Coming to those lotus-filled beautiful lakes, birds like the swans and cranes, came there captivated and offered their services to God. Always centred on God and with eyes closed in contemplations of the Leela, they became like those saints who take up the vow of silence.

(12-13)
O Gopijanas, giving delight to everyone on the mountain peaks, the personified divine form of delight, who enjoys Himself by playing with His different adorned ornaments like the garland, earrings etc., God Krushna, when alongwith Baldevji, fills up the world and directions with His divine melody from the flute; then the clouds, afraid of opposing the Supreme being, offer their services by giving low thunder sounds in synchrony with the flute, form a protective covering over all of them in self-offering, shower small water droplets like flower petals on his friend, God Krushna, in love and offering.

(14-15)
O fortunate Yashodaji, Your son God Krushna, who has excelled in governing all the different worlds of the Gopas and Gopijanas, with his flute resting on His divine lips, when displayed various different and divine captivating melodies while playing the flute, descriptive themselves of the multitudinous divinities within Himself, creating newer forms of tunes with various notes; upon hearing that by the eternal God, Indra - the appointed god of heaven – Satva, God Shankar – the appointed god of destruction – Tamas, and God Brahma – the appointed God of creation-Rajas, who are known to be the masters of different skills in music, became attentive listeners with captivated beings and lowered ears, unable to decipher that unheard and uncomprehended essences, above all the three Gunas fainted with worry.

(16-17)
By easing the pain of the land of Vraj caused by the uprooting earth by hoofs of animals, with His divine strange and supreme symbols present in the soles/feet like the flag, lightening, lotus etc as well as by the touch of His fingers and soles, with His majestic gait resembling that of a huge shouldered ox, God Krushna with His flute walks away slowly. On hearing that divine melody and filled with intense love and longing, attaining the state of motionless trees, we Gopijanas by being faint with desire have lost all awareness of ourselves, our garments and our hair, we (so engrossed) with His vision are not conscious about ourselves.

(18-19)
God Krushna who loves the fragrance of the Tulsi leaves, which is one of His recognizable characteristic, who with His divine form adorns gems and minerals, at times counting the number of cows, rests His hands on the shoulder His most loved friends who are always in His service, at times, when He had played the flute, replaying it again at those places, captivating the beings of the Gopijanas and the she-deers, who have left all bonds and attachments of the family and the world, like the Gopijanas, these she-deers, following God Krushna (who is) the infinite ocean of innumerable divine attributes, came with intense love and longing and sat near Him.

(20-21)
O sinless Yashodaji your son God Krushna who bestows happiness upon those who are filled with love; the son of Nandji, with a wonder causing appearance made by adorning the garlands (made) of jasmine flowers, surrounded by cows and His friends, when entered the waters of Yamuna, and performed His Leela there, the wind offering itself in service, blew in proximity, slowly and favourably, was cool and fragrant, with the touch of sandalwood paste from His divine body. There, other demigods and celestial musicians too, eager to offer their services to God, started singing His glorious Leela with musical instruments, hymns and other articles of prayer, gathered all around Him.

(22-23)
God Krushna, with infinite feeling of love and protection for the cows of Vraj, who in His Leela has lifted the Giriraj mountain, whose glorious deeds are being sung by all devotees and elite who meet Him and bow to Him on His way home, whose songs of praise are being sung by His cowherd friends, whose garlands are now adorned with the dust blown by the hooves of cows, these beautiful God Krushna emanating from the abdomen of Devakiji, at the days end, being like the moon king, collecting all animals together, with the radiant aura of tiredness around His divine face which is the cause of celebration of the entire Vraj, announcing His arrival with His flute melodious to fulfil the desires of all His loved ones, returns homewards.

(24-25)
With eyes filled with the expression of mild arrogance (caused due to His own waiting for them) by the Gopijanas, and who reciprocates them by not giving them His total attention, with full knowledge of the intense pain of separation they have gone through, thus breaking their arrogance with pride and knowingness, by adorning His garland from the neck to the feet, His divine body resembling the colour of half-ripe berries, the king of the Yadavs, with His gait and actions like that of an elephant king, this God Krushna with delight on His face, at the day’s end, bringing His own cool, serene proximity to the longing love of the people of Vraj and relieving the cows of the intense heat of some separation by grazing and that of longing faced during the day, God Krushna like the moon-king comes nearer.

(26)
Shukdevji says to King Pariksh*t, O King these extremely fortunate Gopijanas with their beings, minds and conscience centred on God Krushna, singing the various Leelas of God as they occrued from childhood onwards, these women folk of Vraj spent their days.
