Clairvoyance

What was the past,
What be the future,
Of what use, is it to know
Of before and the after;
Just a long stretch,
A long drawn track,
With myriad of choices
Looming with its stakes.
If, it is a final this,
And a final that,
How then, does a concrete
Dissolve into an abstract;
Why the deafening voices
Suddenly falls still?
Pray, why the knowing faces
Turns empty and nil;
What’s there to delve
Into sequences of curiosities
Prodding us to unravel
The abyss of our anxieties;
You say, make use of the
Device, that takes us to Forward
Wondered ever, who made the frontal lobes
Proving our steps, a little towards Backward;
If the cosmos is His form
And the cosmos his presence
Fools are we, to take credit
For the unattained, absolute essence.
