Brake on Racing Wheels

Age Group: Adult
The 150 kmph wheels
Invited once,
To drive
Through the highway
Speeding smooth
Beating past wind
Turbine trailers
Crossing borders.
The motion
Gained, in
Subsequent rides
Through the
Rapeseed fields,
180 setting suns,
Lee Marvin breaking
Into a wandering star.
The wheels sprinted
To a curved path
Through the snows, rains,
Coasts and clouds
Kissing golden rays
Sculpting symphonies
Lighting roadside fire
Setting makeshift barbeque
Consuming desires.
But, each next day saw
An increase in speed
Spinning to 220 kmph
With every new debris.
Seeing the fear beside
The wheels resolved
To press the br (e) akes
And escape a mishap.
Stalled was the Wheel
In a vacant, arid zone
Serving days, caressing dreams
That loved much to roll.
Now the co-traveler
Resolved to be another wheel
Had brakes damaged, thrown
Before hitting the selfless roads.
