Twilight

Age Group: Adult
The moon steadily rises.
It is twilight;
A time when other worlds touch and
Share the beauty of both.
It is a time of magic.
The ever-growing dark blue of the sky is
Lightly wisped with gold,
As the stars shine faintly through
The light of a dying sun.
The warm night wind
Blows across the world
As the stars above
Decorate the dark oblivion
Like pearls upon
A vast silken cloak
That wraps the Earth
In it’s soft embrace
And the Moon shines forth
Like a goddess in her own right
As if she were the broach that held
Eternity with only a pin
