there is a cave in my area, of special interest
a spirit place were tohunga of old held sacred
union between, {wai ora}water of life and {te kore}
the nothingness.
as the primal relm of {rangi } the sky father , and
papa the earth mother was split apart blood flowed
on the earth mother and was found on rivers and
beaches or where water once flowed this is kokowai.
so the kokowai was held in great regard by maori men
and women a like sacred to the core of the earth
mothers heart song papa tua nuku.
the cave holds one special symbol written on stone
long ago it is known by few the caves name has
been lost on the winds of time but close to where
many tourists walk.
and of ways of old that cannot be retold i will go to the wai taha cave to hold vigil and give blessings for the
new time and the new sacred way , tohunga makutu.
