The Secret Forest

The Secret Forest
There is a place which the foot of man has seldom disturbed,
It is hidden from the eyes of those careless blunderers,
A most special and sacred grove with a magick of its own,
If you are lucky enough to be find it then you will quickly be drawn in,
The secret forest that I hold dear.
Pine needles form a thick carpet underfoot and seek to trap the unwary,
This place can be dangerous to those who do not grant it respect,
Among those old trees the air is still and time stands unmoving,
The feeling of being watched is strong here and the eye will be tricked,
Flashes of movement may be seen by the observant eye.
Here one is not alone but in the presence of those who know the wild places,
When the moon is full they can be heard singing and seen dancing,
In this secret and magick laden place far flung from the business of man,
The trees themselves sway and dance in the gentlest of winds,
The secret forest of mystery.
