This Is Right

I have a dear friend to thank for setting me upon this most blessed of paths,
He has been at my side through the years and we have grown as close as brothers,
The Wiccan path which feels so natural and so meaningful is open now to me,
And I walk it with a joyful heart and an open mind,
How I ever existed without knowing this my true path I do not know.
Though those around me fail to understand my beliefs and wrongfully fear them,
I travel to that far flung grove to perform my mystic rites in secret peace,
My Celtic ancestors smile down upon me for I have found where I truly belong,
My search for others like me in my home of Nelson is a never ending search
for we are few and far between in this small city.
As I sit upon that pine needle laden ground I feel the familiar tendrils of magic stirring,
Twining themselves about me and enveloping me in that warm, cherished state.
Magick was come naturally to me and I feel the thrum of its power as I reach out into it,
The Goddess and the God grant me the privilege of hearing them speak and the joy
of being able to proudly say, I am a witch!
