Chain of Destiny

by asira

Age Group: Adult

Our paths may have crossed
For it is destined,
I, to be with you
And you are to me.
I cannot argue,
For this i my fate,
I, whose bound to you
Through eternity.

Known you for some time
We of the same faith,
The same like and will
Of the same state
I bathe in your light,
In your love I feast,
To you I confide
Everything in mind

I gave you my all,
My heart and my soul,
And yet you detest
That I still resist.
You got me confused
Emotions abused
My body's shackled
Felt like I've been burned

My soul has been bruised
My heart's been shattered
Deep ends of the world
My mind has withered.

For some time I thought,
Healed my heart and soul.
Now I feel nothing,
Decided, one thing.

I have to set you free
Our chains be broken,
Our fate be stolen.
Thus, I give my plea.
But before I do,
Your thoughts, I reckon.
A reason, you ask.
Revealing, I must.

After I say this,
Nothing could hinder
A change in your view,
Towards me is due.

I did for some time
Liked you to be mine
Wanted you so much,
Guilty to be such.

I hated myself
For what I have felt,
Our stars don't approve
Fact, I couldn't move.

I was torn inside,
But I have to find
A cure for his lie
Even if I die.
For some time I did,
Find my peace to this.
I don't adore you,
No longer do I.

But I still do fear
That it would come back
So I thought of this,
'I'd push you away'

Hard for me to do
But it must me done.
Sorry for acting,
-selfishly today-
Don't know what to do,
Don't know what to say.
Fraid' how you'd react
To what I've revealed.

Accepting me again,
A fair game to play.
Hurt you lots of times,
You decide my fate.
Accept me or not,
I couldn't argue
If that is your will,
I'll bend and follow.

For now, I have none,

I am chained to you.
Our hearts be entwined,
Our stars be aligned
We of the same kind.

My wishful thinking,

This is my only plea.
That I would be free
From our "chain of destiny"
