My Pen Bleeds

In absence of words
and silence sealed my lips
my pen bleeds... gushing...
unexpressed hunger unfolding
Beauty running back to its source.
My pen bleeds of love untold
of yearning to see the Beloved’s face
a Child turning to her father
in all youth’s frailty and innocence
and the tenderness of a mother's
sweet embrace.
My pen bleeds once more
like water in a desert quenching my thirst
and filling my soul’s emptiness
when nothing more is written
in the sand of time
and where remains
is only a wondrous song
that echoes in the night,
this lonely traveller looked up once more to the stars
Which carefully hid the tales of our ancestors,
the glories of the Hunter and the Mighty Eagle.
The night is long and the journey cold
drumbeats carefully ends this sweet reverie
and the rising sun brings a new hope
deliverance towards the promised land
joy renewed, my pen writes once more
and let Love unfold
